What are your planters made from?
Our planters are made from rot-resistant cedar protected by a non-toxic, waterproof finish that greatly increases durability and is safe for use in vegetable garden. Rust free pins and crossbar supports hold the raised beds together. Wooden dowels and brass screws are used to attach the optional trim packs.
What size planters do you offer?
We offer planters in hundreds of shapes and sizes, from small flower boxes to large tree planters, to long deep raised beds. Square, rectangular, hexagonal, octagonal, L- and U-shaped raised beds and planter boxes are available with trim pack and planter bottom options. Standing planters and vertical garden planters are also available in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Popular sizes are listed on the product pages above. If you can't find what you are looking for, please give us a call at (503) 802-9292 for help with your specific gardening needs.
Can I order a custom size planter?
Yes. In addition to our standard sizes, we offer custom planter boxes and raised beds. Most custom orders can be fulfilled using standard size parts at no extra charge. Additonal fees may apply to orders requiring unusual or custom length parts. Please call (503) 802-9292 for more information and pricing on custom size planters.
Are your raised beds really that easy to assemble?
Yes! In fact, it's hard to imagine an easier design. Simply position boards so the ends overlap and insert the corner pins that lock the boards together. Stack additional board layers to build the height of the planter. Unless you have ordered top rails or trim packs with your raised beds or planter boxes, no tools are necessary for assembly. Our raised beds and planter boxes are popular with schools, and even very young children find them fun and easy to put together.
What is the economy-grade option?
Economy-grade raised beds are available for about 15% off our regular prices. They are made from the same long-lasting cedar as our standard-grade raised beds, but allow for minor "defects" in the wood, such as large knots, waned edges, and rough surfaces, that are mainly cosmetic and have little to no effect on the durability of the bed.
Economy-grade beds can be purchased with or without a non-toxic waterproof finish, for a low cost alternative to standard raised beds. For more information, or to place an order, please call (503) 802-9292.
